
Examining our emotions with curiosity can provide useful information. If you are curious about feelings here are steps to take to gather the information.
Notice- what is happening in your body?
What physical sensations are present?
Name- "Right now I am feeling ______. "
Nurture- Make space for the emotion and physical sensation. Ask yourself, what
does this feeling want me to know?
What are my wants and needs?
Self awareness is the first step towards being able to build emotion regulation tools. Keep a journal of these steps daily.
