Your nervous system has been developed over your history of being alive (and some time when you were in the womb). Our lived experiences of connection, rejection, disconnection, emotional safety or lack there of are all stored in our body to "help" us survive.
When we are feeling stressed and/ or anxious our nervous system is communicating to us that there may be some danger afoot.
Neural exercises can be tried, implemented, practiced, and regularly used in order to overall decrease the anxious response in our body.
Orientation, meditation, and diaphragm breathing exercises can be used to decrease the stress (sympathetic) response in our nervous system for a moment. After which we can gain a mindful moment of clarity to make a choice on what to do next to support ourself.
With regular practice the exercises will come more naturally when we notice the response in our body!
